Six Things Meme

the chaplain tagged me recently with the Six Things Meme.

These are the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random, arbitrary things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Here are my six arbitrary but not entirely random things:

1. I despise paperwork more than any other chore.  Actually, I have some paperwork to do right now. Maybe I’ll clean the toilet first.
2. I’m happily married to a woman who is better at football (soccer) than me.
3. I have a BMI of 21.3 kg/m2.
4. My hair has a mind of its own. It’s extremely coarse and refuses to lie flat. My parents have a school photo of me aged about ten looking smart and neat except for of a huge tuft of hair sticking up at the back.
5. I can swim 50 metres underwater in a single breath.
6. I’m slightly scared of heights.

I prefer not to tag people, but if you like the idea of the Six Things Meme, by all means carry it on and leave a comment below.

  1. I’m with you on #6 – I get queasy in situations involving cliff edges and the like. I’m also terrible on those scenic towers with metal mesh stairs and platforms. The last thing I want to do when I climb stairs is to see the ground getting steadily farther away from me; it’s really disorienting and nauseating.

  2. I know how you feel. I’m getting better however, with regular aversion therapy.

My wife loves heights and often wants to go up mountains, etc. I follow her partly to keep her company and because although I’m scared (for both of us) I’d rather be there to see that she’s safe.

  3. - Do you actually use your IBM, or is it just a piece of memorabilia by now?
    – Amazing that you are scared of heights and not of water. I think I may be afraid of both.

    About me

    1) I refuse to have a job. I am hippie who lives off her husband’s money.
    2) I meditate
    3) I love to make homemade bread
    4) I can’t swim or ride a bike, though I wish I could
    5) I dream of, one day, playing the guitar, but I’ve never done anything about it
    6) can’t think of anything

  4. Lorena,

Hehe no, not IBM! BMI – body mass index – I’m a skinny runt, or apparently about “normal” – whatever that is!

Homemade bread is yummy as long as you eat it within a couple of days – which usually isn’t a problem, because as I said, it’s yummy.

Never to late to learn to swim or ride a bike! I’d teach you myself if you were closer.
